California, pilgrimages, connections

I've been checking out all sorts of things for my upcoming pop culture pilgrimage. Things like LA Plays itself and Tales of the City and Pamela Des Barres memoirs and Dashiell Hammett and Gavin Lambert and all manner of random California-connected blog posts. Tonight I started reading Lionel Rolfe's Literary LA* and I happened to notice the inscription:

The Internet is a crazy amazing thing. Lionel Rolfe is still writing beautiful things about place and history and Glen Tomasetti, it turns out, was an Australian folksinger, activist and bohemian. New discoveries all the time.

*I bought this in the early 90s I think at City Basement Books .... which alas, is no more.
